Why do you need a digital postman?

Mandatory from 1 January 2027

From 1 January 2027, e-invoicing is mandatory for all VAT payers in Slovakia. Paper and PDF invoices will no longer suffice.

What is a digital postman?

Digital Postman is a certified delivery service provider (Peppol Access Point) that handles the sending and receiving of electronic invoices via the Peppol network. It verifies the invoice format in accordance with the EN 16931 standard, delivers it securely to the recipient and submits the data to the Financial Administration.

Who is required to have a digital postman?

From 1 January 2027, under Act No. 385/2025 Z.z., every VAT payer in Slovakia must use a digital mail service to send and receive e-invoices for domestic B2B transactions. Paper and PDF invoices will no longer be acceptable.

How much does a digital postman cost?
